Abu Dhabi to Mumbai is 3.5 hours. This proximity means that Gulf-based Indians can attend the Nashik Kumbh for a long weekend — departing Friday evening, arriving at the accommodation Saturday morning, attending the Snan on Sunday, returning to Dubai Monday morning. Currently, Dubai-Pune or Dubai-Mumbai followed by road to Nashik are the most practical routings for most Gulf-based visitors. The 3-hour Dubai-Mumbai flight + 3.5-hour Mumbai-Nashik road equals a 7-hour total journey — entirely manageable in a day.

The Gulf Weekend Kumbh Programme

For Gulf-based Indian families who can spare a 4-day long weekend: arrive Friday evening at Nashik (or the accommodation). Saturday: rest, Trimbakeshwar temple darshan, akhara visit, evening aarti. Sunday: Snan (if date coincides) or the main puja day. Monday morning: Brahmagiri or Anjneri, departure by afternoon, back in Dubai Monday evening. This programme works particularly well for couples and small families without children in school.
